Hiding vibe from S/O?

Ladies, if you use a vibrator and keep it hidden from your husband or S/O, why do you feel the need for secrecy? Is it because you think it would upset him or hurt his ego if he knew? Does it do something for you that he can't do? Is there some other reason? I'm a little confused right now and could use some help sorting this out.
