Holden barina, hyndai getz or kia rio?

I am tired of taking the bus and have to decide whether to buy a motorbike/scooter or car. If I buy a car I would be looking at either a holden barina, hyundai getz or kia rio. Is it true that the barina has a poor resale value? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
